Private Label Sales Surge in Q1

Store brands gained 6.5% in dollar sales, while national brands increased 5.2% during the period, according to IRI data.

The Private Label Manufacturers Association has announced that private brands experienced impressive sales gains in the first quarter of 2022.    According to IRI, store brands gained 6.5% in dollar sales, while national brands increased 5.2% during the period.    Among departments, 15 of 18 experienced store brand dollar growth, with home care declining.
